Post subject: | Quotes |
I know this is most likely something that I am doing wrong. When ever a quote ' is used in the content area, it keeps getting an escape character. (i.e. \'). I know I had this problem before with double quotes "" and you corrected me about the magic_quotes in php.ini. This fixed the problem with double quotes, but I still seem to have the problem with single quotes. If you could, can you please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance, Mark |

Well, I don't think this is something you are doing wrong. The CMS should detect if you are using or not magic_quotes and behave accordingly. By the way, I think now the CMS module can work even with magic_quotes_gpc disabled. So Mark, what are the settings of magic_quotes_gpc, magic_quotes_runtime and magic_quotes_sybase in your PHP? My first guess is that you have both magic_quotes_gpc and magic_quotes_runtime enabled. If so, then disable magic_quotes_runtime and test again. If this don't fix the problem, then please tell me if the quotes appear also when using "preview" or only after saving the content to the database. Regards, Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez. |
