I sorted all my immages in subfolders so each brand or manufacturer has its own folder with images. Also i use different folders for small and large immages. It would be nice if you could select these folders to browse to pics in the subfolders for a serverside picture. Also the only thing you see are the filenames of the pics. It would also be great to covert the files (pics) into small thumbnails so you can see really what pic you choose. Maybe it will increase data traffic to much because every pic has to be downloaded to create a thumbnail but it was just an idea. |

Yes, I've found out many users do that. In the bugtrack the support for images in directories is marked as Bug #78. I'm currently working on this. > Also the only thing you see are the filenames of the pics. > It would also be great to covert the files (pics) into small > thumbnails so you can see really what pic you choose. > Maybe it will increase data traffic to much because every > pic has to be downloaded to create a thumbnail but it > was just an idea. The first (unreleased) version of OSCPMWin used the server-side PHP script to create the thumbnails. I abandoned the idea because I thought users would upload only thumbnails, so thumbnails should be generated locally. The point is, thumbnails can be created server-side. But you are rigth, even in this way it would increase a lot the network traffic. However, bug #84 is a request for a local image cache, which it could be used to cache all the thumbnails. Just an idea. Maybe later. Regards, Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez. |

Post subject: | Images in subdirectories/subfolders support... |
Support for images in subdirectories (including the creation of new directories while uploading) has been added to version 0.1.0.481. This fixes bug #78. Regards, Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez. |
