Post subject: | Lost Connection to server during MySQL Query |
Hi, I connect to the mysql server using SSH. PhpMyadmin says I'm running MySQL Server version: 5.0.24 The "Test Connection" button opens a command window and connects to the server without problems. I can even start mysql from this command window and execute sql commands so all usernames and passwords seem to be working. But when I try to connect using OCSPM1 "Connect" button I get the following error: Error while connecting to the database (dbname @ 127.0.0.1). SQL Error: Lost Connection to server during MySQL Query Could this be a sql problem? Something to do with MySQL version 5 and it's stricter SQL implimentation? If anyone has any ideas please respond... it's so nasty to be stopped at the last hurdle like this! Thanks, Dags. |

Please upgrade to the latest beta version (soon to be released as stable unchanged): http://www.mariovaldez.net/software/osc ... _setup.exe This new version does not use a direct MySQL connection, but uses a PHP-script SQL gateway. Just install and upgrade the server-side script. This version does not use SSH, we are dropping the SSH support. Please note that you password is never sent in clear text in the new HTTP-based protocol. However, if you want to encrypt all the traffic between your computer and the server, you can install the SSL-support module (available from the Download page). Regards, Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez. |
