Post subject: | Complicated SSH connection procedure |
I am using the SSH tunnel to connect. If I follow this procedure it works fine: 1. Choose Database : Configuration : Network 2 2. Click on the Test tunnel button. [opens the tunnel and the plink.exe window] 3. Choose Database : Connect. A message comes up stating that "It seems there is already a SSH encrypted tunnel. Do you want to close it before creating a new one?". I click on the No button. 4. Presto - I am in! However, this seems like a very strange procedure that I have to follow each time to login! It would be much easier to simply choose Database : Connect, it recognises that I have SSH tunnel configured, opens the tunnel, then makes the connection. Or, am I doing something wrong? By the way - this application is brilliant! If it can be extended to manage more of OSC then I can see it as being a "must have" for every OSC store owner. |

The test is just for the first time you connect to a given server, it's not part of the "normal" connecting procedure. > However, this seems like a very strange procedure > that I have to follow each time to login! After using "Test tunnel", and confirming the connection (the first time), you can close the SSH console window (or just exit the SSH session from the console). After that, for normal usage, using "Connect" is enough. Maybe I should start writting the documentation. > By the way - this application is brilliant! > If it can be extended to manage more of > OSC then I can see it as being a "must > have" for every OSC store owner. Thanks for your comments. I'm planning more features, but first I'm cleaning this up. If you have any suggestion for new features, please post them to the wishlist forum Regards, Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez. |
